The HPS Robotics Club is open to students in 7th through 12th grade. Our program of six weeks intense weeks, beginning September 12th and ending October 24th. On Kickoff Day all teams are provided with an identical set of building materials, electronics and software. The robotics challenge is then presented. This year the game is called "Current Events". The team will build a robot to remove garbage from a simulated ocean gyre. During the final competition team members compete in five areas: Robot performance, Engineering Notebook, Marketing, Team Interview and Spirit/Sportsmanship.
Students who join Robotics commit to attending practice either immediately after school or during the late session (after sports practice). Some weekends are also required. All students are expected to maintain passing grades and to not violate any rules set up in the HPS Student Handbook. See this year's challenge Below
