Preschool

CURRICULUM: Hettinger Public School Preschool provides an early childhood program for four and five year old children in a safe, structured, and caring environment.  Our goal is to stimulate the mental, emotional, social, and creative growth of each child.  Children will enhance motor skills, listening skills, participation, and social skills.  Throughout the year, preschool students will develop the ability to follow directions, sustain attention, and responsibility for self through involvement in group and individual activities. Hettinger Public School Preschool uses the North Dakota Early Learning Standards set up by the state of North Dakota.
 

Preschool Schedule

Preschool is available to children who turn 4 before August 1st.  We hold morning and afternoon preschool sessions two days a week for 3 hours a day.  Daily routines are established each year and provided to parents.

Activities included in our preschool day:

Daily calendar, art, learning centers, writing workshop, music, free play, story time, snack, circle time,  and outdoor recess

Tuition

Tuition to attend preschool is $75 a month for a total of 8 months (Sept - April) or $600 a year.  Tuition is due by the 5th of each month, starting in September.  We combine the days attended in August and May with vacation days missed in December.
