8th Grade Ag Students Get Hands-On with Forage Testing

8th Grade Forage Testing - The Adams County Extension Agent, Aspen Lenning, was in the other day to conduct nitrate testing on oats and sorghum-sudangrass with the 8th Grade Ag students.

Students reviewed the nitrogen cycle, discussed potential impacts of high-nitrate forage use on livestock, and got to try this testing method first-hand. Students discovered nitrate levels ranging from 100 ppm up to 500 ppm.
